As Crossborder Jurists, we have added a new one to our reports on the rule of law, judicial independence and human rights.
We are publishing our report “THE TURKISH JUDICIARY IN INTERNATIONAL REPORTS AFTER THE 17/25 DECEMBER INVESTIGATIONS”, which has been prepared by the Report Preparation Group of our Association as a result of intensive efforts.
This report provides an external perspective on the process of Erdoğan and AKP’s transformation of the judiciary after 17/25 December. In the report, you will find reports, evaluations and comments written by international institutions, organisations, associations, media organs, and authors who are experts in their fields.
The main opinion accepted by both domestic and international public opinion is that the judiciary in Turkey has lost its independence and impartiality. Our report questions the reality of this perception. You will be able to find answers to many questions such as which institution has addressed the state of the judiciary or the transformation process from what perspective, what kind of findings are highlighted in which report, what is seen as the source of the problems and what kind of solutions are offered.
